[2821] She was for many years employed as provincial interpreter with theIndians by the government at $50 per annum. The Mohawk sachems in1667, gave her the great island in the Mohawk River at Niskayuna. Sheand her husband sold the island in 1669 to Captain Johannes Clute.The Sachems also gave to her land at the Willow Flat, below PortJackson; and at the boght on the Mohawk in Watervliet.
